With the development of urbanization, the human social energy, resources increasingly scarce, climate condition worsening condition, the idea of sustainable development has been more and more recognized by people. Both the architectural energy saving optimization and transformation, accord with the requirement of sustainable development strategy, can save a lot of replacement capital and energy, and is suitable for China’s national conditions of a comprehensive technical innovation road. Because of new technology and new materials and construction building people aesthetic factors such as the continuous development of change, in recent years in both architecture reconstruction has appeared in a lot of application of perforated metal as building the second skin of the building facade transformation case. The application of this new material due to its own attributes, unique architectural modeling effect etc also began to appear in large Numbers in the new building design application, and by many contemporary architectural designer’s favour.Building peripheral protection structure and building energy saving effect are closely related, especially in cold regions, perforated metal as building the second skin become part of the building peripheral protection structure, whether and how to influence building indoor thermal environment is worth further research. The paper tries to use ground investigation and measurement, questionnaire survey and software simulation and so on the many kinds of methods to perforated metal in cold areas both building facade renovation of thermal performance analysis, and perforated metal as building outer epidermis of the architectural design way in energy saving effect to make more scientific evaluation.The paper extraction and subject research related factors as questionnaire survey, choose a large low carbon model reconstruction park as the survey sites, the perforated metal in both architecture reconstruction application cases of different crowd investigation, questionnaire investigation, summarizes and analyzes the results for the building indoor environment comfort to make evaluation, and puts forward the perforated metal in both architecture reconstruction need optimization design elements, and apply to new buildings design applications. Through the comparison and analysis of the perforated metal outer epidermis of building indoor thermal environment influence thermal parameter test results, as a practical measurement limit factors and software simulation parameters set basis, finally draw the perforated metal as building outer epidermis on indoor thermal performance impact assessment and improvement measures.The paper research conclusion can promote people to the perforated metal in the application of energy saving effect on understanding, through the research conclusion for improving and perfecting the design method for the perforated metal in cold areas of the application of the architectural design has certain theoretical significance and application value.
