Floor panel heating system is widely applied in all kinds of buildings because of itsenergy conservation and comfortableness. The temperature of the floor surface and thecapacity of heat transmission are two of the most important parameters of the floor panelheating system. About these two parameters, either in China or foreign countries,.have doa lot of researches Most previous studies consider the under-floor insulation is completethermal insulation, ignoring the under cpaacity of heat transmission. Few use the methodof analysis to obtain the analytical solution of the partial differential equation of heatconduction of the floor panel heating system.This article considered the under capacity of heat transmission, and establishestwo-dimensional heat-transfer mathematical model of floor panel heating system. Thensimplified the mathematical model by making a hypothesis that an insulation surface wasexisted, and obtained an analytical solution for the simplified model by applying themethod of separation of variables. FLUENT, which is one of the numerical calculationsoftware, was used to simulate the simplified model, and the results were compared withthat of the method of separation of variables. The results showed that the hypothesis wasreasona. Finally, different factors influencing the surface temperature and the cpaacity ofheat transmission were analyzed.Calculation results showed that, the under capacity of heat transmission must beconsidered,especially when the thermal resistance of the floor is close to that of cheinsulation. The analytical and numerical compared results showed that, the analyticalsolution in this study is reliable. The analytical solution of two-dimensional heat-transfermathematical model of floor panel heating system from this study have some referencevalue to the heat-transfer analyzing of the floor panel heating system.
