Water hydraulic technology is an emerging direction of the hydraulic study, whichhas caught the attention of the world. The paper prepares a Portable Teaching ExperimentApparatus using Water Hydraulic technology and including four main parts:Water hydraulic components, Portable box, Electrical system, Test software.In order to meet the requirements of the Water Hydraulic Experiment, The paperdesigns a motor-pump which integrates the motor and the water hydraulic pump as one.Some throttle valves, relief valves and directional valves as well as accessories such aswater hydraulic cylinder, pipes, pipe joints for water hydraulic experiments are designedThe electrical power supply system of the experimental apparatus is supplied.Considering the portability of the system, the stainless steel box was manufactured. Inorder to combine with the modern testing technology and to upgrade the velocity and theaccuracy of the data acquisition and the automation of the system, the testing software ofLabview is developed for the experimental apparatus.The exploratory instructional experiment of the experimental apparatus wasconducted and the working performances of the self-made hydraulic components weretested. The results of the three representative experiments, the performance test of thewater hydraulic pump, the static characteristic performance test of the regulation valve,and the throttle governing test, got by the self-made software, were analyzed and therelated experiment conclusions were obtained.Finally, the experimental apparatus was used in the practical teaching process andfurther research of the hydraulic teaching based on the water hydraulic technology wasaccomplished.
