The dynamic plastic response of fully clamped single stiffened plates and crossstiffened plates subjected to blast loading are investigated based on rigid-plastic assumptionin this paper.According to previous experimental and theoretical analysis, three models of thedeflection of stiffened plated depending on the relative rigidity of the stiffeners and the peakof the load applied could be summarized[22]. They are global deflection model I of platesstiffened by weak stiffeners, local deflection model II of ones stiffened by strong stiffenersand the interacting model III between global and local deflection. For simple supported andfully clamped rectangular plates, there is already a theoretical analysis method whichintroduces deflection mechanisms with moving hinges and considers the plastic dissipationby membrane force[34-35]. In this paper, this theoretical method for rectangular plates isimproved and applied to previously mentioned deflection model I of plates stiffened by weakstiffeners. In this theoretical analysis of stiffened plates, the motion equations of global deflectionbased on mechanisms with moving hinges as well as angular and impulse-momentumtheorem are first presented, considering both membrane force and bending moment. Underloading condition of rectangular pulse, the motion differential equations are derived, fromwhich the results of maximum permanent deformation of single and cross stiffened plates areacquired. The deflection mechanisms with moving hinges for plate weakly stiffened areconfirmed by using finite element simulation. And the results of theoretical calculation arealso compared with those provided by existing experiments[17]as well as finite elementmethod, achieving good agreement.
