In hydropower stations design, the comprehensive characteristic curves of a turbinemodel is extremely important for the type design of a turbine and performance analysis ofthe hydraulic turbine, and the curves are available for designers by collecting data fromthe images. Massive and duplicate date acquisition on characteristic curves is neededwhen designing the type of a turbine and analyzing its performance. The traditionalmanual collection has shortcomings such as heavy workload and lack of precision, whichmake it difficult to meet the demand for modern design.With the popularity of the digitizer, using digitizer for data-entry gradually replacethe manual method. Although it has efficiency and accuracy, a lot of designers don’tchoose it because of its high price. In this paper, a software for data acquisition andprocessing is exploited based on Delphi7.0and SQL Server2008, its main functions suchas date acquisition by clicking the mouse, judgment of collection accuracy, numericalfitting by cubic spline interpolation, data management, characteristic curve redraw anddata post-processing.In this paper, principle of characteristic curve processing is introduced at first, andthen the design of software systems is explained, the realization of the system and keytechnologies are showed finally. Using Delphi7.0by clicking the mouse to realize dateacquisition of characteristic curve, and the data collected is fitted by using cubic spineinterpolation; At the same time, a software, which owns advanced friendly interface,simple operation, short development cycle and simple maintenance, is exploited throughthe rich component library and component extension of Delphi7.0. The third-partycomponents of AdvStringGrid and TeeChart of Delphi7.0is applied during the period ofcharacteristic curve redraw and data post-processing, and at this time, a large number of date needs to be processed. Based on the powerful database features of Delphi7.0, thesystem realizes the centralized management of data by combining SQL Server2008, andADO accessing technology is used to realize the connection from the software to thedatabase; finally, during the period of data post-processing, we have taken full advantageof query function to realized automatic generation of the computation table of complexequivalent efficiency curves.
