It is well known that the operating safely and effectively of Hydropower units is animportant issue for Hydropower industry,and Hydropower unit stability as a key elementof which also causes much attention.With the successful development and application ofnew technologies and new products, hydropower units stability monitoring systemdevelops rapidly and updates quickly. DSP(Digital Signal Processing) technology as a newtechnical means has a huge advantage in the digital processing and computing,the using ofDSP technology in hydropower unit stability monitoring system will greatly enhance theprocessing speed of data analysis, and enhanced real-time system. Therefore, this objectiveand direction of carrying out this subject are with the trend of Hydropower units StabilityMonitoring System. At the same time, the subject combined with SDHC(Secure DigitalHigh Capacity) data storage technology to solve practical problems, which makes thesystem have a certain practical industrial applicationsThis study is based on Hydropower plant Optimal Maintenance Information System,designed a technical solution that expanding a SDHC card on the DSP chip TMS320F2812,solved the defect that the original stability monitoring system can’t store data,storaged theoriginal data by sector to facilitate the host computer queries. And combined with thecommunication protocols that the stability monitoring subsystem of HOMIS systemcommunicate with host computer,the calling of original data and uploading analyzed datause can-bus. We tested the system design after it was completed,test results show that thesystem is running well,achieved the initial goal of the development of of StabilityMonitoring System for Hydropower Units Based on DSP,and has certain engineeringapplications.
