The hardware-in-the-loop simulation is an important technology for the performanceanalysis and test of complex mechanical and electrical control system, the hardware in theloop simulation analysis for the hydraulic landing gear can effectively improve landing gearsystem development quality, shorten the development cycle, and reduce the cost of researchand development. Communication is one of the most important aspects in the hardware inthe loop simulation technology, that has a very important impact to the hardware in the loopsimulation platform performance. The communication technology has been researched inthe hardware-in-the-loop simulation for hydraulic landing gear in this paper.Signals are the basic elements of communication. Aiming to the problem that thereusability and expansibility of signal is low caused by the descriptions are different in eachusage scenario, the usage scenario and type of signals in the HIL for hydraulic landing gearare analyzed, the models of different type signals and the corresponding signal conversionalgorithm are built. On this basis, the signals simulation system and the instrument displaysystem which are needed for hydraulic landing gear hardware in the loop simulation systemare developed. The usage of those two systems proved the signal modeling in signaldescribe the unity and signal has a certain advantages in expansibility.The network is an important way to realize the communication. In order to analyze theinfluence that network communication caused to the landing gear control system, thecharacteristics of the network of the landing gear are analyzed, the landing gear networkcommunication model based on Modelica has been built. Network communication modelintroduced the landing gear in the hardware-in-the-loop simulation, it can improve thehardware in the loop simulation credibility, network communication performance analysis.Hardware interface is the foundation of communication. In order to solve the problemsof hardware interface under multi-domain modeling, the implementation mechanism of thehardware interface based on Modelica has been analyzed, the hardware interface models ofthe landing gear in HIL system has been built. It can effectively solve the communicationproblems of multi-domain system in HIL based on Modelica.Finally, above research results to hydraulic the landing gear on the hardware in the loop simulation have been applied, and the results is good, that verified the effectiveness ofthe research results above preliminarily. The results of this study provide important basis forhardware in the loop simulation system for landing gear, which can provide refereces forother system in HIL.
