Because of the higher pressure ratio, widely operating range, simply structure, easilymaintenance, etc., centrifugal compressors are widely used in petroleum chemical industry,aerospace, energy, power and other industries, and playing the important role. becauseenergy problems are becoming more and more serious,so how to raise the research anddesign level of centrifugal compressors for saving the energy consumption has become moreand more important. Because of the complex internal flow in the impeller mechanical,thedesign and optimization cycle through experimental means is very long,however, with thedevelopment of the computational fluid dynamics, using CFD software for numericalsimulation can effectively shorten the design cycle. So it has been gotten very widely used.In this paper, to compute the Krain impeller which is running in different rotation speedusing the CFD software, comparing with the available experimental data to verify thefeasibility of the calculation method, through the experience certificate, the calculationmethod can be applied to the calculation of this paper.Based on a centrifugal compressor model, analyze the internal flow distribution indifferent working conditions. based on the original airfoil diffuser,design several differentairfoil diffuser of modification, analysis the internal and external flow characteristicsperformance curve to provide some suggestions for the selection of airfoil diffuser.Through cutting the trailing edge and shorten the chord to optimization thewedge-shaped diffuser, analysis their internal flow and external flow characteristics, to studythe different wedge-shaped diffuser effect on compressor performance. Finally, throughchanging the inlet radius of original airfoil blades to change the vaneless diffuser length,analysis the flow and external flow characteristics, study the vaneless diffuser lengthimpacting on stage performance and stage internal flow,providing some reference for theselection of the length of vaneless diffuser. |
