As a special aloft working mechanical equipment, aerial working platform is designed tofinish a series suspending operation, for example, lifting the platform carried with operationpersons, materials etc, to a specified position for maintaining and installing. As thedevelopment of society and technology, people show high demands on AWP operatingflexibility, security and comfort during the using of aerial working platform. In order toimprove the performance of AWP and reduce workers’ working intense, taking the advancedtechnique of foreign countries for reference, this paper discusses and designs the electrichydraulic control system based on studying self-propelled and folding-arm type aerialworking platform’s whole working devices.Firstly, introducing the basic construction and the working principle of self-propelledand folding-arm type aerial working platform; Analyzing in details on various circuitscomposition in the hydraulic system of the working device and the working principles, whichinclude stretching and luffing of the operating arm, turntable rotation, rotation of the workingplatform and working platform leveling circuit etc. Secondly, determining all the input andoutput signals of the control system based on its own characteristics of AWP working devicehydraulic system, then completing the designing of the overall hardware architecture for thewhole AWP control system; Choosing EPEC control modules specially used in engineeringmachinery as the hardware core and adopting CAN-BUS technology to realizecommunication between modules and achieve the sharing of all control instructions andinformation generating in the hardware system, realizing action controlling and keyparameter monitoring of the working devices. Finally, during the progress of drawing controlprogram flow chart for various operations of the working device, composing APW workingdevise control system base on CODESYS programming software. During the programmingdesigning, I/O initialization modules and CANOPEN initialization modules are programmed,Then setting luffing actions for example to complete controlling program writing.
