Aerial working platform is an advanced special aerial working machine.In the course ofworking,personal safety of the aerial working platform operator has a direct relationship withthe work status a and stability of aerial working platform.So timely discharge and predictionof the failures of the aerial working platform is very important.Aerial working platform is amechanieal,electrical and hydraulic integrated system whose strueture is complex andprecision is high.Besides,its possible faults are not only structural,but also parametric,So itis difficult timely and precisely to locate and eliminate faults by artificial fault diagnosismethods.Therefore,in this paper the hydraulic system of self-propelled and folding-arm typeaerial working platform’s working is taken for example,to develop a condition monitoringand fault diagnosis system,monitoring its sates in real time and diagnosing its possible faults。In this paper,the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technologies of the hydraulicsystem of self-propelled and folding-arm type aerial working platform’s working devices,combining sensor technology,computer technology,and technology of data base and expertsystem theory,is studied on the basis of summarizing relevant literatures at home and abroad.First,it summarizes the history,the current situation and the development trend of thecondition monitoring and fault diagnosis technologies of the mechanical equipments anddetermined the contents of the research by combining the characteristies of the hydraulicsystem of aerial working platform’s working devices;Second,it in-depth analyses thestructural characteristics and operation principles of the aerial working platform and itsworking devices’ hydraulic systems,and obtains the common faults of the hydraulic system ofthe aerial working platform’s working devices and their mechanism,laying the foundation forits fault diagnosis;Third,it determines the needed-to-monitor state parameters by analyzingthe actual running status and working condition of the hydraulic system of the aerial workingplatform’s working devices,and then designs its hardware;Forth,it combines intelligentdiagnosis expert system technology with aerial working platform’s working device’ hydraulicsystem failure characteristics to design the expert systems and takes Access C#and othersoftware development tools to achieve the fault diagnosis System.
