In recent years, with the rapid development of highway, tunnel project has been abottleneck in the tunnel project. Along with the application and development of theNew Austrain Tunnelling Method in tunnel project, the monitoring measurement hasbeen an important role in the construction of the tunnel as an important part of theNew Austrian Tunneling Method. Monitoring measurement can be a timely responseto Rock Around the timeliness of state and can be more reasonable to identify andchange the type of support and time, it plays an important role in the quality of thetunnel project, the progress of the project and its cost reduction..Firstly, combining with the Beacon Hill road tunnel construction, it sites themeasurement program and its basis of monitoring the implementation. Then itintroduces the measuring points of the program, the spacing of the measurementsection, the frequency of measurement and measurement content, which provides areference for tunnel monitoring Survey.Secondly, it tests the structural mechanics state and the stability of tunnels.Measurement content includes the common phenomenon and the response to thesituation, management of on-site observations and the response to it, surfacesubsidence measurements, the crown settlement measurement, and peripheralconvergence measurements; Finally, it makes an analysis and processing, andinformation feedback for the measurement data,which has accumulated a wealth ofexperience for the tunnel optimize the construction and design, as well as long, inshallow tunnel construction; at the same time, it causes a talking and a thinking for theproblems which encountered in the layout and the implementation process of themeasurement point.Thirdly, we have done a numerical simulation for the center diaphram methodand the construction process of the cross diaphram method with finite elementanalysis software (MIDAS/GTS), and compared the results of two methods ofcalculation, and then we compared them with the actual measurement results. Fromthe comparative analysis of results, we learned, the value of the center diaphram andcross diaphram after construction are far less than the limits of the specificationallows. So the visible choice in the next construction method is more reliable andsecure.
