If we findthe tunnel face geological change ahead, we can predict in advance to the poor geographicallocation and scale and adjust the construction technology. The corresponding measures takenwill greatly reduce the risk from the construction and cost. This paper is based onHongTiGuan tunnel early geological forecast, mainly discuss the following several aspects:1, Summarized forecasting methods of the advance geological forecast tunnel,comparedthe advantages and disadvantages of the geological forecast methods, with a detaileddescription of some common forecast methods, focusing on detection methods and illustratesits application scope.2, Through the practical application of the geological radar and TGP in HongTiGuantunnel, the dissertation summarized geological characteristics in radar image appeared in thesurrounding rock cave, rich water, fractured zones and other bad geological. And compare theresults with the actual situation, it put forward the support scheme and construction methods.3, Combined with HongTiGuan tunnel karst characteristics, it set water bursting disasterwarning mechanism of karst water tunnel. Putting the warning into four levels, with red,orange, yellow, and blue4kinds of color in turn.
