Traditional attack means will be less effective with the development ofthe sensors and communication technology. Underwater launched missiletechnology will play a more and more important role in the future battle fieldbecause of its two strong points: wide attack range and great concealment.Nowadays, military force hopes that the submarine can launch as manymissiles successfully as it can in shortest time and retreat from the conflictarea rapidly. So it is necessary not only to do research on the missiletechnology but also to study on the motion response and control of thesubmarine. That is the main subject proposed in this paper.Underwater missile launching is flexible flow phenomenon with severalphases of fluid. Rocket jet flow method and the equations which describe therocket jet flow are proposed in this paper systemically. The control equationof the computational fluid dynamics and its principle are also proposed in thepaper. The CFD model of underwater missile launching is established based on the Navier-Stocks equations by GAMBIT. The movement of the missile isobtained by C programming and CFD simulation. The coupling effectbetween missile’s movement and flow field’s change is realized by dynamicmesh method. Then the complete load curve of the submarine is obtainedbased on the results of the CFD model, which contains the impact forceduring the launching process, negative pressure and water hammer pressure. The mathematical model and simulation model of the submarine isestablished based on Gertier submarine canonical equations. The load duringthe launching process and the sea surface influence are imported into thesimulation model. Motion response and motion control of the submarineduring the process of missile launching is proposed based on thecomputational results in this paper. The analysis about the influence from theparameter such as velocity and depth is proposed. The law of motionresponse and control is proposed as well.
