This topic is about the ocean wave power devices using the oceanenergy. Owing to the world energy crisis, each country in the world shiftsthe research to new energy. Because ocean energy is one of the mostabundant resources in the world, variety of devices using the ocean energyare constantly emerging. In this paper, according to the present situation ofdevelopment of the ocean wave power devices both at home and abroad,we introduced a novel ocean wave power device, which can absorb waveenergy in all directions, as a result, increasing the power and efficiency.This paper gets a thorough analysis and study to the novel one.We introduced the current development of the ocean wave powerdevices both at home and abroad, studied the structure and workingprinciple of the ocean wave power devices existing in the world, andpointed out the weakness and disadvantage of them. To overcome theshortage of these devices, we developed a novel ocean wave power device.According to the function requirement of the new type and the GF theory,we design6-UPS parallel mechanism and2-d rotating device.Based on the airy wave theory and potential function of translatewave, we confirm that the best shape of floating body of the ocean wavepower device is cylinder, after the simulation analysis to four kinds offloating body of shell shape. We also analyze the floating body,swingresponses in all kinds of wave height and wave frequency.Then we have the kinematics analysis and the dynamics analysis.Based on the kinematics model of the wave power device, we give thederivation of motion accuracy and the fuzzy reliability formulas ofbranched-chain movement. Base on FEA,the static analysis and modal analysis of the key partsare introduced. We built the FEA model of the whole power device. At last,the modal analysis of the whole model was conducted to identify the weaklinks of the structure, providing a basis for the work and design of thewave power device.
