In recent years, there are more applications with LED auto lighting. Flat packagingtechnology of LED has brought revolutionary changes to the auto styling, manyheadlamp and taillamp use LED as light source. However, the high cost of LED and itscorresponding optical system curb the further development of the LED application in rearfog lamp.This paper breaks traditional method of LED rear fog lamp, which needsdevelopment for every vehicle. And import new design of LED rear fog lamp module inorder to raise usage of LED. According to theory analysis for the principle of the opticalsystem of LED in this paper, we research optical theory of parabola reflector, Fresnel lensand the light focus. We realize optical system of LED rear fog lamp which conforms toGB regulation with combining them with optical system of rear fog lamp. In addition, inorder to reduce the cost of auto lighting, we design a reliable, compact size, easyinstallation LED rear fog lamp module by reasonable mechanical design. The papervalidate the performance of LED rear fog lamp module by means of simulation andexperiment.By large-scale manufacturing of this new LED module, we hope that carmanufacturers can directly use it to achieve the rear fog lamp function which is not onlysafe and reliable, but also can significantly reduce system costs, and save a lot of humanresources for development. It can also help to push more LED application in autolighting.
