Research On New Pattern Of Urban Roof Greening From Roof Garden To Vegetables Roof Garden

As a traditional green roof pattern, the design and construction of RoofGarden has become more and more mature, but it lacks of some problemslike sufficient function and promoted feasibility. Resulted from someproblems such as small amount of cultivated land per capita, limitedconstruction land in city and urbanization, and combined with marketdiversification and individual, I advocated the topic of paper RoofVegetables Garden, which is fully used the idle rooftop space to plantvegetables, fruits and some other crops and so on. It is a green pattern thatcombined the functions of agricultural production, energy conservation andentertainment to increase landscape utility value. That is a very importantcomponent of greening on roof and a good landscape development directionwhich is full of potential and promoted feasibility.The paper paid attention to the develop course of history from roofgarden to vegetables roof garden, mainly discussed the vegetables roofgarden as a new pattern of green which is a transition to be more productive,lively and ecological. The paper has several points of innovation. Such as thefirst point, vegetables roof garden has not been paid enough attention andbeen did enough professional research, so this paper has given it a relativelysystematic analysis and research. The second point, the paper discussed theurban agricultural problem across different disciplines, optimized the urbanagriculture problem from the respective of landscape. The last point, thepaper proposed some design methods and technology elements and valuationways of vegetables roof garden, made some reference effect to the design andbuild of the vegetables roof garden.There are three parts in this paper. The first part summarizes the historyof the traditional Roof Garden, the second part analyses the coming andcharacters of Vegetables roof garden according successful cases and theexperience I had practiced in related project. The last part put forwardsseveral landscape design methods, technical regulation, development future,market management model and landscape evaluation system and so on.
