With the development of our country economic, the electric power demand isgrowing rapidly. The electricity generation enterprise’s unit capacity is also gettingbigger and bigger. Applying the advanced control theory and the software developmentplatform for enhancing equipment’s automaticity, has become a trend to each electricpower plant automatic control. According to the warning hysteresis of the Boiler WaterLever accident in a coal-fired power plant, this thesis develops a drum water level alarmand early warning system based on XINHUA XDPS-400+.Based on the analysis of the overall system functional requirements, non-functionalrequirements and the system characteristics, the thesis uses configuration softwaretechnology based on XINHUA XDPS-400+and the Fuzzy Control Theory to design andrealize the system. Secondly, the overall structure of the system was designed. Thesystem mainly realized the authority management, the simulated signal pretreatment,the single signal alarm, the combination signal early warning, water supply systemtrends, fuzzy early warning and statistics, database management and other functionswith needs analysis. Finally, the main function of this system was tested by virtual DPU.The system probably meet the monitoring needs of the electric power plant boiler waterlevel by testing, and it can send the early warning signal, avoid accident, reduce laborintensity, enhanced the security and stability of the unit plant.
