Stepping motor is a kind of implementation of micro-motor that can turn electricalpulse into mechanical angular displacement or linear displacement. It is easy to becontrol, is of high cost performance and it have no accumulative error. basic principle ofstepper motor’s driving using subdivision driving technology is to control themagnitude and direction of each phase winding current in stepper motor to make themchange according to the rule.The this is designs a two-phase stepper motor driver IC based on the0.5um CSMC80V BCD Technology. The outputs are rated for continuous output currents to1A andoperating voltages to60V. Pulse width modulation current control combined with aninternal Four-bit nonlinear digital-to-analog converter allow the motor current to becontrolled in full-, half-, quarter-, one-eighth-and one-sixteenth-microstepping modes,and this can drive the motor to work in different step angle. At the same time the chiphas decay mode control, output torque control, under voltage lockout, ISD and TSDfunctions.
