The Designing And Researching Of The Vehicle Travelling Data Recorder

Since the reform and opening-up policy was introduced, there has been the rapid development in Chinese automobile industry, and the people’s living standard has been improved significantly. Ordinary people also could buy the car. According to the statistics, the num of motor vehicles is180million in china now, but road construction and other related facilities have developed slowly. Therefore, the rapid expansion of the number of cars has brought a series of serious problems, and poses a serious threat to national people and property.To ensure driving safety of residents and reduce the incidence of traffic accidents, an electronic device, which is like "plane black box", is urgently needed, and the device is used to real-timely record some important parameters like speed of the car on the run, and monitor the driver in order to manage the vehicle, at the same time, the recorded data is the scientific proof that help the mangers analyse the cause of the accident and crystallize responsibility.On the base of vehicle traveling recorder’s research, we learn the national standards of it, and propose the research objectives of this topic. Then we introduce the overall design of the system, combining with the actual situation of the traffic accidents. We describe a recorder that is with STC89C52MCU as the core in detail, and have the functions of data acquisition, data processing, display, storage signals and other functions. Then we design a vehicle management and analysis software based on Visual Basic, and it can read data through the serial port data, and it have the statistic and analysis data, so it provides references for the managers.The design of the vehicle traveling data recorder includes the hardware and the software. The hardware has the data acquisition unit (sensor circuit), the controlling unit (MCU circuit) and data processing unit (display, memory circuits) and other peripheral circuits. Software includes two parts:the MCU controlling procedures and PC management software. The monitoring software is developed using C language, however, the PC management software is developed using VB language, in order to help the managers manage the cars.In order to verify the accuracy of the system circuit, we do the experiment. We use motor micro to drive the speed milometer in the experiment, and the experimental results could meet the requirements.Finally, we summarize the research paper, and make a prediction about the development of vehicle traveling data recorder, and point out the direction of future work.
