As the development of the society, irregular structural forms of high-rise buildings arose as a result of certain functional requirement,facade demand and other factors. Thus, amounts of problems emerged, and one of the most common ones is irregular reversion. The ductility of this kind of structures is very poor under seismic action. So the regularity of the plane layout draws more and more people’s attention.Since the centroid of a plane area and the center of rigidity are not coincident, displacements of the component are different and a reversion surrounding its stiffness center of the structure could occur. These all can lead to serious structural overall destruction. More and more frame-shear wall structure appears as the development of high-rise buildings. Shear walls of high-rise buildings are complex and asymmetric. The forms of buildings will damage seriously under seismic action when torsion around the stiffness center happens with translation.This paper discusses the factors of structure torsion, and research status examples of home and abroad are analyzed. Also the difference among some regulations of structure torsion are compared. Ten frame-shear walls were designed for the analysis of the relationship of eccentricity and L plane. The elastic and elastic-plastic stage respectively were compared. Comparison of response spectrum and time-history analysis of theses structures were carried out. Finally, the regulation about period ratio,displacement ratio, inter-story shear force, inter-story displacement,story drift,the top floor displacement and plastic hinge were discovered which could help to find out the solution for the reasonable shear wall layout of irregular plane.By analysis and comparison, the relationship between torsion and plane layout, eccentricity about high-rise buildings are found. We hope the regulation we found could be the reference to the future practical engineering.
