In recent years, with the development of china’s economy, a variety of large-span structures has been applied widely to various fields, especially large cantilevered structures. The style of large cantilevered becomes more and more complex, such as CCTV new site, national stadium and other landmarks buildings. There are some features including large-scale, long period, complex process, uncertain transmission path and the dynamic changes of structure internal force, so many uncertainties may occur in the construction process. The purpose of numerical simulation of complex structure and construction monitoring are mainly predicting and tracking the structure of the stress changes in the construction process, in order to ensure the security of the construction and the accuracy of the structure after forming. As to large and complex cantilevered structures, numerical simulation and the construction process of the pre-construction site monitoring are of great significance.The paper basing on the Hefei Yangtze-crossing Campaign Memorial Project, explores the principles and methods of a large cantilevered structures using the numerical simulation and construction monitoring. In this paper, it is simulated that the entire construction process of cantilever part of Yangtze-crossing Campaign Memorial Project according to the structural characteristics and construction scheme, in order to predict the dangerous parts (key parts) which may arise dangerous in the construction process. And then focus on the key parts during the construction monitoring process. Finally, tracking monitoring results and simulation are analyzed to verify the operational and feasibility of the behavior of the various components of the stress changes in the construction process using numerical simulation methods. At the same time, the monitoring results can be analyzed from the rack on the cantilever parts so as to investigate the overall structural internal force of the transfer process and the mechanical characteristics of the structure during removal of the rack.
