In recent years, for landscaping to improve the ecology, to provide residents with a comfortable leisure space, many cities construct a number of "close to water","see the water" city water conservancy project.Plane central pneumatic flap gate is a new type of gates inclined to horizontal position after falling, which not only has the general characteristics of underlying gates, but also overcomes the difficulty of overhauling the problem of apt to deposit underwater. This type of gate structure has a strong application value, an important reference value a good application prospect for urban landscape hydraulic engineering.In this paper, take the central pneumatic flap gate of the ship lock engineering in Beitang River, north of Changzhou city as an example, from the Physical model test the flow pattern after the Central pneumatic flap gate studies, in order to make scientific, objective, reasonable Gate opening system in accordance with engineering safety requirements.First, described the role and classification of the gate, and advantages and disadvantages of several typical ones.The current development status of horizontal gate both at home and abroad at this stage were also reviewed.In order to validate the hinge of the project, overall model of the project was established according to gravity similar rule. Tests on the flow pattern after gate under a total of7working conditions, upstream and downstream the navigation lock were studied respectively, using reasonable and reliable measuring instruments. The corresponding curve of the linear gate opening and average velocity and water flow velocity distribution of the velocity measuring sections of the diffusion after the navigation lock gate were obtained. And water flow pattern was analyzed combined with the observation.The research achievements in this paper have practical values on hyduaulic project, and apply to the navigation lock engineering in Beitang River, north of Changzhou city. What’s more, those have an important reference value a good application prospect for the same type of release works.
