Although building dam in the non-homogeneous infinite deep pervious foundation have its construction period, investment, environmental protection and other advantages, but also has its limitations and technical difficulties. And the seepage problem is the main difficulties of this kind dam safety on the foundation.To discuss the question of non-homogeneous infinitely deep pervious foundation’s seepage control, first, this article using finite element method set up a mathematical model to calculate the depth of vertical impermeable wall. Obtained numerical value and location of saturation line when using different depth of vertical impermeable wall, and the results are analyzed and discussed. And have further studies by doing physical model tests on the issue, contrast verification relation of the vertical impermeable wall and upstream water depth when prevention seepage with the horizontal impervious different depth of vertical impermeable wall. When depth of the vertical impermeable wall is8to10times upstream water depth, the dam foundation seepage has been stabilized. At this point by increasing the depth of the ways to reduce vertical impermeable wall, its economy could not have been accepted.
