As an important part of the urban system, the public transport system is playing a key role. With the development of intelligent transportation system, especially the development of advanced traveller information system, it makes possible to provide more effective and efficient public transport services for the travellers. The time-space cost will reduce if the travel demand of the travellers would be satisfied most and the travellers could run following the optimization routes.Through the transport data of some cites, the travel demand and the trip characteristics were analyzed. Based on the analysis of the acceptable times of transfer, waiting time at bus stops and the elements of the chosen paths in the different cities, the acceptable conditions of the travellers who want to travel were defined as the parameter on the next study. The real-time information makes the traveller to choose the optimization routes in the public transport system. The predetermination of the bus arriving stops time is the key problem. The artificial neural networks were used in the predetermination. The parameters in the forecasting process were tested in order to build a better model. The route searching algorithm is based on the real-time information in this paper. The transit network was built which contained public bicycle network. The algorithm comprised two parts. One part was precomputation the sets of the alternative routing paths. All the alternative routing paths were computed between the pairs of the potential travel nodes using the advanced K shortest paths algorithm. The other part was searching the routes using real-time information. Based on travel demand and the forecasting results, the strategies of the sets of travel advice were defined. The alternate means were also considered which would work if the real-time system failed.Based on the data of the transit system and the geophysical data, the transit querying system working on the Web had been developed. It also provided consolidated views that query system views to provide information that travellers might need.
