Prestressed CFRP sheet reinforced concrete structures has been thecutting edge topics in the international civil engineering construction andrelated fields. As an active reinforcement technology, the prestressedCFRP sheet reinforcement technology in strengthening the bridgestructure has a broad application. This paper is a sub-project under theNational Natural Science Foundation of China (51078370). Carbon fiberas a new material for prestressed reinforcement, apparently with thetraditional materials in many ways a big difference, so its tension forcecharacteristics need to re-recognize. Carbon fiber material itself is a linearelastic material. carbon fiber, its shape, length is much larger than thewidth, its width is much larger than its thickness, is completely differentwith the traditional common prestressing steel rod, the characteristics ofthe tension force and the rod is also very different.Tensile failure test by a large number of CFRP plates show: fractureof CFRP plate always start from the edge fiber fracture and fiber fractureextended to the Central final CFRP plates complete rupture. Thedestruction of the CFRP plate is not instantaneous, but there is a break inthe process. Reliable anchorage of CFRP sheet Zhang tensile failurefracture position is always at the anchorage near the exit area. CFRP platesof tension can be seen as a plane stress problems of orthotropic plate,known by the Saint-Venant principle: When the CFRP plates subjected to axial tension, the stress distribution near the border region is morecomplicated. CFRP plates axial tensile stress distribution near the borderparts of the experimental investigation and numerical finite elementanalysis show that, end stress the uneven distribution of the phenomenonsignificantly affect the CFRP plates tensile strength of its research haspractical value.The research results of the application of this article, the actual bridgereinforcement of the ultimate strength of carbon fiber design to determinethe resultant force to ensure that the project reinforced reliable, safe.
