As Fiber Reinforced polymer (FRP) has the advantages of light weight, high mechanical properties, also with its good corrosion resistance, in recent years, it’s widely used in civil engineering structures as reinforcement and reconstruction. Because of the good corrosion resistance, CFRP always face the corrosive environments. The researches of CFRP corrosion resistance are more and more important. In this paper, the damp heat durability of the epoxy resin sheet and CFRP sheet, Strain changes in hot and humid environment were studied, the main research content is as follows:At frist, using temperature accelerated test methods based on the Arrhenius equation to study water absorption process, changes in tensile properties and flexural properties of the CFRP and epoxy resin in three temperatures (23℃,40℃and60℃) two solution (distilled water and alkaline solution). Understanding the performance change of epoxy resin and CFRP sheet in the process of temperature accelerated corrosion. And using temperature accelerated test methods to forecast the long-term durability performance. The second, water absorption process, changes in tensile properties and flexural properties of different thickness sizes of epoxy resin and CFRP in60℃distilled water and alkaline solution were studied. According to the size accelerated effect, the size(thickness) accelerated corrosion test method is put forward. And using the size (thickness) accelerated corrosion test method to forecast the long term performance of the epoxy resin and CFRP.At last, using FBG sensors to monitor internal strain variation of epoxy resin and CFRP in60℃distilled water and alkaline solution. Determining the viability of using FBG sensor to monitor the epoxy resin and CFRP sheet degradation in the corrosion conditions.
