| Taking K28+150~250of the secondary road of Shidian-Mengding as thesupported project, a new method of widening mountain road with integral cantileverstructure (ICS) is suggested to meet the requirements that a high degree is needed onwidening road in mountain areas. The design principle of ICS is to widen the road withintegral casting wall-pill to retain the wall, based on this approach, cantileverconstruction is used to widen the road. The greatest advantage of this method is not onlyavoiding digging deep but keeping the original road clear of traffic. Moreover, becauseof the easiness, simplicity, lower cost and less hidden danger of this method, it hasprofound technical feedbacks, economic and conservation benefits.This paper deals with three main points: firstly, it discusses the design theory andwork principle of the method; secondly, it makes a systemic research on the concretedesign of the ICS’s component parts and connections; thirdly, it puts forward theproblems should be taken attention to in the process of construction.With the help of Abaqus and MIDAS Civil2010to establish the finite elementmodel to reflect the real work condition, to simulate these performances like load using,geology condition difference, foundation subsidence, temperature difference andearthquake, etc. in order to analysis the construction’s mechanical property under theseconditions. Finally, it fully proves that the construction has the qualifications of overallforce and deformation compatibility. |
