In order to study the current carrying characteristics and tribological properties ofthe sliding electrical contact pantogragh catenary system, a testing machineself-developed has been improved. It can meet the requirement of the high-speed, highcurrent, and heavy load, a better simulation of the electric railway pantograph andcatenary wire between the electrical contact state. Testing machine detection system canbe a good acquisition, real-time display and storage affect pantograph and catenary wireof the current carrying characteristics and tribological properties of the main parameter:the contact pressure, sliding speed, contact current. The Cu impregnation carbon stripand rub against the Cu-silver wire to analyze the wear characteristics with currents. Tostudy the high-speed, high current, and heavy load sliding electrical contact efficiencyof the carrier, carrier stability, contact resistance characteristics, temperaturecharacteristics, and tribological properties. To analysis the morphology of slide surfacewear by SSX-550scanning electron microscope. Paper by carrier efficiency and contactcurrent stability factor for the sliding electrical contact current carrying characteristicsof the analysis, that the carrier efficiency set to a value, rising with the sliding speed, bychanging the contact pressure, so carrier efficiency is always maintained at this value,then the current carrier can make the best characteristics. Then come to the efficiencyand stability of the current carrier with the contact current change is irregular. Finally,through analysis the static and dynamic contact resistance characteristics, steady-stateand transient characteristics of temperature rising,study the tribological propertiesunder high current sliding electrical contact pantograph system.
