Research On Medium And Low Voltage Distribution Network Planning Of Zhongshan City Downtown

Economic development depends on electric power. Because of the development ofChina’s economy and the rise of living standard, the demand on electricity is increasing. Asafe, stable, reliable and inexpensive electric network is a major component of our economicand social development, and it is also a base for the long-term development of the electriccompany itself. In order to meet the increasing demand on electricity and to ensure thedevelopment of economic development, the planning, construction and transformation of thecity electric supply network has become a priority.The downtown of Zhongshan City, namely Shiqi district is located in the center ofZhongshan where it enjoys geographic privilege and has become the transportation hub. Shiqidistrict is also the center on leisure business and cultural exhibition, and aims to develop in asustainable way. Shiqi district puts great emphasis on real estates and the third sector. Thereare a lot of large residential areas and private businesses in the district which leads to theincreasing demand on electricity, and thus the capacity of electric supply must bestrengthened. The planning on medium and low voltage distribution network then becomesvery important.This paper begins with the systematic analysis of current distribution network in Shiqidistrict. Combining with regional situation of economic and social development, the problemsof distribution network development are summarized. Based on the summary of which andthe analysis of electric demand of past years, a mathematical model is designed to forecast theload of Shiqi distribution network. Then, based on the construction goal, technical principles,present problems and condition of power balance, the solution of distribution networkplanning2012-2015is presented. Finally, after summarizing the scale of the construction andtransformation, the investment estimate is made which forms the base of the final evaluationof the actual effect of the plan.This paper provides technical references for the constriction and transformation ofShiqi’s medium and low voltage distribution network in the coming years which aims toimprove power supply reliability,and therefore tomeet the needs of economic development in the whole city.
