The pressurized oxy-fuel combustion technology has an obvious advantage in improving the utilization ratio of coal, decreasing NOx, SOx emissions and carbon capture and sequestration. The combustion characteristics of carbon particle in pressurized oxygen-enriched environment were theoretically and experimental studied. In this study, we developed two mathematical models. One is represent the temperature of initial heating stage of a Particle and gas temperature around the particle in pressurized oxygen-enriched environment. Another model describes the combustion rate of carbon particle in pressurized oxygen-enriched environment. The results indicate that the temperature of particle and gas temperature around the particle rise with the increase of pressure in initial heating stage, at the same pressure and the ambient temperature, the temperature of particle and gas temperature around the particle in oxygen-enriched environment higher than its in air; The combustion rate of carbon particle in pressurized oxygen-enriched environment higher than atmospheric conditions. The results show that increase the pressure or oxygen concentration will rise the combustion rate of carbon particle.In addition, pollutant emission from pressurized fluidized bed combustion were experimental studied. The characteristics of NO emission were investigated, when the pressure are0.2MPa and0.5MPa. The results show that NO production rise with the increase of the oxygen concentration when the pressure stays the same; NO production decrease with the increase of the pressure when the pressure stays the same.
