In recent years, with the rapid economic development, environmental problems, energy problems, stability issues, and economic problems caused by the single centralized power system has drawn increasing attention, which further promote more and more development and application of distributed generation, such as solar power, wind power and other forms of distributed generation.As distributed generation access to the distribution network, the node voltage, line current, short circuit current and power quality of the distribution network will be changed, and the impact is related with the location and capacity of distributed generation. Therefore, it’s very important to optimal the location and capacity of distributed generation. This paper establishes an economical mathematics model from the perspective of the distribution company, which including investment and operating costs of distributed generation, the net loss costs, and power purchase costs as the target functions, based on load demand and the output of distributed generation. This paper proposes a TS-PSODV algorithm which compose the union improvement PSO algorithm and the TS optimization algorithm to optimal the location and capacity of distributed generation. The example shows that the method is feasible and effective.
