Transmission line is an important part of the electricity system.Currently.the majority power system blackout was due to a variety of transmission line failure. If high voltage transmission lines are in case of failure,then massive disruption transmission link will occour. Transmission lines are divided into overhead lines and cables. Because the overhead lines are exposed in the natural environment all year, there are many forms of overhead line fault, such as Bird damage, lightning, pollution, external force, wind,etc, which will damage the transmission device to different degree. One of them is not to be ignored and more difficult to control. It is wire fatigue break strand for the wind. At present, Study on mechanism of overhead transmission line aeolian vibration and its prevention and control become more and more urgency. How to avoid the transmission line fatigue accident caused by aeolian vibration, to improveline operation reliability and to reduce the huge integrated loss caused by power failure are important and necessary issue.At first, the causes of electric power system conductor damage existed at present and Caonong line damage in Tangshan caused by aeolian vibration are introduced from the research background in the paper. For the actual situation at the scene, the proposal and implementation of solutions are necessary and urgency.With domestic and international aeoliam vibration study of the development, conductor damage mechanism and vibration of power transmission line formed of terrain and weather conditions are analyzed.According to the detail data analysis of aeolian vibration on Caonong line, aeolian vibration online-monitor-system installation is proposed. In addition, transmission line renovation program is made up. It is pre-twisted anti-vibration hammers, damper spacers and flexible insulators installation instead of pendant series on several three-base towers, The program is analyzed in theory.Finally, the implementation of the programme is introduced in detail. The comparative implementation data will verifiy the Validity and feasibility of the programme.
