BIW’s quality is one of the most-important factor in the quality of vehicle, the qualityof car’s body reflect the level of design, level of manufacture, level of management. Alongwith the development of technological, vehicle industry of China have passed through thephase of noncompetition, the phase of competition, the phase of hot competition, thevehicle industry’s competition of China is becoming severity day by day. High quality ofthe car’s surface have became key factor of the competition of China vehicle industry, sothe dimension control and jointing control in body in white’s manufacture looks veryimportant. In process of body in white’s design, how to define the clearance and flush ofthe surface of body in white, how to admeasure the tolerance rightly, how to control thedimension’s quality through the process of body in white’s making, this is all importantfactors in car’s body which will enter consume market. This article utilized the analysis method which used in tolerance analysis software, consider the impact of automobile’s structure to the error. We classify the error inautomobile, summarized a method through different assemble levels. We use probabilitymethod to distribute the tolerance, amend tolerance first time contrast with economytolerance, and then amend tolerance second time. At last chalk up the reasonable tolerance. We choose the front door&front fender as the example to explain the method of distributetolerance, three-coordinate data from factory validate the method is correct. From thisexample, we conform the distribute method is rational, at the same time, we conformed theMonte Carlo simulate assemble can forecast assemble ability of B-I-W.
