| The boundary lubrication is the most important lubrication form in the mechanical equipment, and adding various additives in lubricating oil is an important means to improve the boundary lubrication performance. Therefore, it has great significance to research the boundary lubrication film evaluation method for the additive reasonable selection and application.The current critical load method and the critical velocity method as the boundary lubrication film performance evaluation method has some problem according to the tribology principle. So critical temperature method as a new evaluation method is proposed in this paper. In order to validate the correctness of the evaluation method, researched the boundary lubrication film temperature characteristic test methods. Also made the machine mechanical system design and manufacture according to the test requirements.Developing a set measurement and control system based on the virtual instrument of LabVIEW according to the functional requirements of the machine of boundary lubrication film temperature characteristic testing. Which include stepper motor control system, friction coefficient measurement system, temperature control system and data storage system. And developed a friendly measurement and control system opration interface.Carry out boundary film temperature performance test with variety of lubricant additives, acquired the boundary film temperature characteristic with different lubricant additives by analyzing and comparing the test data.The test results showed that:the test method used in this paper can comprehensive reflect the friction characteristics of the boundary lubrication film in each temperature point, which also has good resolution to all sorts of oil sample. The f-T curve received by the boundary film critical temperature test can not only clearly reflect the temperature when boundary film began to failure, it can also reflect the interval of additive influence. |
