Application Of Micro Melting Point Instrument Based On Machine Vision

Melting point instrument is the usually used equipment in the melting point measurement of the organic crystals, the purity of the crystal material plays a vital role in the production process of product quality. But directly measured the purity of the crystal material is difficult, so in practice,we can determine its purity in order to determine whether they meet the needs of production by measuring the melting point of crystal material. Melting point is important chemical parameters in the material. Therefore, the measurement of the melting point is an important method of material properties analysis. Micro melting point instrument system using machine vision is a hot spot of research and application in the field of micro melting point instrument. It based on the integration of multi-disciplinary technology, such as computer technology, image processing, and artificial intelligence. This system has obvious advantages in information processing and great potential for future development.The system consists of the four modules, such as input and output, image processing, melting point calculations and the man-machine interface. According to real-time capture images of the camera, the gradation conversion and differential matrix generation;Three eigenvalues of contrast, the angle of the direction-second moment and average were got in the spatial domain and frequency domain.Then gaussian normalized a feature vector consisting of three feature values. At last, the initial image feature vector and the current image feature vector was calculateing the similarity according to the polyester chips; Finally, according to the similarity curve, use "blind downstairs algorithm" to automatically find the temperature of the early melting point and the final melting point.Compared with the existing methods of measurement, the repeatability of design measurement improved and measurement of efficiency is better, and the measurement results is more accurate,and its operate is easier.Finally, this project fully automatic machine vision-based micro melting point instrument system was finished.In hardware, micro melting point instrument platform contain Nikon Image camera as a video capture system; In software, use the VS2005, OpenCV2.0and Image driver function. Finally, Melting point instrument of automatic measurement was realized.
