Flameless Combustion is known as the21st century’s most promising combustiontechnology, it has characteristics of inlet air has been preheated and combustion is performedunder the oxygen-low state, so its combustion characteristics are very different compared withconventional combustion. Because of its application can greatly improve fuel utilizationefficiency as well as reduce the emission of pollutants effectively, The technology was highlyvalued by the industrial sector, international development agencies and governments. Inrecent years, the combustion technology has been promoted and applied on the ground gasturbines, the fuel was expanded from gas fuel to liquid fuel and solid fuel, good economic andenvironmental benefits were achieved.The domestic Flameless Combustion theory and industry practice has made considerableprogress since the last century, but the area of applying Flameless Combustion technology tothe gas turbine is still in the exploratory stage of development. With China’s economicdevelopment and the improvement of the energy structure, the research and application of thetechnology will certainly contributed to the energy saving, the improvement of economic andthe improvement of the environment quality.The paper numerically studies the effect of various parameters impact on the combustionperformance of combustion chamber. The results show that, the combustion performance oftapered export-type combustion chamber is not changed apparently compared to cylindricalexport-type combustion chamber. Both position of the fuel nozzle and fuel injection angleimpact on the combustion of the chamber, and there is a reasonable range. Compared to thecombustion chamber with same fuel jet direction, when fuel injection nozzle under specificposition and specific angle conditions, the combustion chamber with different fuel jetdirection can achieve lower NO_Xemissions and a better outlet temperature distribution, hasbetter flameless combustion performance. The calculation results and flameless combustion test results under similar conditions areconsistent basically. The study results of the paper has a certain reference value forapplication of flameless combustion technology on aviation gas turbine combustor.
