| In modern warfare, the effectiveness of a weapon should meet two demands. One is thatit should have efficient damage to the single target such as modern anti-armor andanti-materiel ammunition. The other is that it should have efficient damage to the grouptargets such as armored vehicles, reconnaissance vehicles, command vehicles, launchers andso on. The advantage of tandem warhead is that it has effectively attacking to the single target,but, bad to the group targets. The advantage of MEFP warhead is that it has effectivelyattacking to the group targets, but, bad to the single targets. The MEFP tandem warhead hasgood performance, it can meet the two demands. Therefore, it is important to study the MEFPtandem warhead.This article focuses on studying the effect of the front charge on the back charge inMEFP tandem warhead. In order to study conveniently, the effect of the front charge initiationon the back charge in ordinary tandem warhead was studied, firstly. Then, the effect betweenthe two adjacent sub-systems in MEFP was investigated. Lastly, the effect of the front chargeinitiation on the back charge in MEFP tandem warhead was studied.The effect study of the front charge on the back charge in ordinary tandem warheadincludes sympathetic detonation and gap test of the back charge, effect on the velocity andforming of EFP under different distance and effect of separator angle and separator materialon the velocity and forming of EFP. The effect of different sub-charge, different filler andadjacent charge on the velocity of EFP was studied in the MEFP tandem warhead. The effectstudy of the front charge on the back charge in MEFP tandem warhead includes sympatheticdetonation and gap test of the back charge, effect of the front shock wave on the velocity andforming of EFP under different charge structures.The following conclusions were got by studying.(1)When the charge height anddiameter of composition B are both20mm. The sympathetic detonation of the back charge is happened when the distance between the front charge and the back charge is30mm. Theeffect would be reduced from the front charge to the back charge by using the separator. Theeffect law of shock wave produced by the front charge on the back charge is similar to aquadratic function. The equation isy0.006x21.1x52(.2)The shock wave can be cut offby the separator when the vertex angle of separator is90°~120°. The separator will reduce theeffect on velocity and forming of the back EFP between the angle range. When the cone angleof the separator is less than60°or greater than140°, it doesn’t work(.3)When the thicknessof the separators are the same, Polyurethane, Phenolic Pesin, foam aluminum and air as thefillers, the order of the explosion-proof is that Polyurethane> Phenolic Resin> aluminumfoam> Air.(4)The EFP velocity, forming of the front charge are the same, but difference ofthe back charge are large in the different charge structures of MEFP tandem warhead. |
