Improve the quality has always been the primary way to improve the competitiveness andcompetitive of an enterprise, especially under current integrated modern global economicenvironment, the survival and competitive environment of product has an significant changesin the competitive landscape from the price and quality to the time, quality, price and service,at meantime science and technology development are been one of the competition. But timeand price competitive display is to rely on the quality achieved, and the competition ofscience and technology still reflected in the ultimately quality of the product. So, no matterthe competition coming from time, quality, price and service or coming from science andtechnology, the final winner is the enterprise who carry out good product with high quality,and the quality has became one of the passport of international market.This study base on the background of one of brake pad business company D, the target ofthis study is to carry out quality control research. Braking system is one of the keycomponents of automobile; performance of automotive braking system has a direct impact onthe safety of cars. The brake pads which as a key component of the braking system, willdirectly affects the overall performance of the braking system on stability and reliability, andits quality is directly related to the merits of people’s lives and property safety, this is one ofthe significance in this study.In the production module, generally can be divided into highly automated productionprocess, and semi-automatic process with hand auxiliary and pure manual process, the studywill focus on highly automated processes and hand-assisted semi-automatic processes in Dcompany. The research start from quality management, and mainly taken two quality controlmethods on the more complex quality problems in the process. The first part of this study willuse DOE to obtain the optimal process parameters on the highly automated productionprocess to improve production efficiency and reduce the defective rate. The second part ofthis study will focus on hand-assisted semi-automated assembly line, in order to obtain therisk of human errors risk matrix at assembly line time, hierarchical MTM model analysis isintroduced,, it is verified that the hierarchical MTM model after comparing with statisticaldata of the assembly line. The study finally determines the main processes with high risk ofhuman errors and creates the new way to carried out human error study.
