Nowadays, automobile wasn’t an exclusive only for man since it has been inventedone hundred years ago. Female consumers has become an important part of the car market.however, the automobile design which was guide by the female aesthetic was very few.So it is very important and urgent to find out the feminine Form Language.In automobile styling development history, Streamlined car had represented the femaleform feature, for its soft and affinity lines just cater to the aesthetic taste in women.Volvo has launched a concept car just for woman which has fruity and fluent style. Onthe other side,considering the high requirements of woman in details, the designers thinkabout all the aspect of the interior.Since the female consumers become more and more important, I hope that through thepreliminary analysis of the women’s choice of automobile products to find out thefemale form language, and to validate this conclusion.In the first part of the article, through analyzing several groups of women, I find thebig difference between men and women, such as physiological characteristics, languageskills and thinking mode, this is the main reason for the aesthetic differences between menand women. Women show different psychological characteristics at different stage in life,and the change of psychological characteristics will effect women’s aesthetic tendency. Inmost family, Women are financial managers, they has their own characteristics inconsumption, the author divided it into four type,include impulsive consumption,emotional consumption, utility consumption, value consumer.Then, I began to analysis the form language. for a certain object, such as a car, adress or a powder box, it has a certain form which contains some specific meaning. Idecided to define the form language through the overall shape, line, surface, color andmaterial.I want to understand meaning of the form language through the analysis ofcase on the basis of aesthetic rules.In the third part, combining with the architecture, clothing, products, automobiles, and other areas of the design,I summarize feminine design language through a great number ofcase. After the work I have done,I found that organic curves, round shape, soft surfaceand changing the color are the most feminine qualities form language. At the same time,Ifound that the design full of emotion more likely can win the women’s heart.In the fourth section of the article, I chose the Audi car (A1, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8)as the research object to fine out the effect of the feminine form language when a womenevaluate a car. The results showed that the A5is more popular in women. Through thecontrast analysis,I confirmed that woman’s evaluation is closely related to the feminineform language.I hope that through the preliminary research on the female form elements, there aresomething useful for the future design work.
