In recent several years, cold patch asphalt mixture became one of the most important research direction of the Pavement Management System. With the increase pavement maintenance requirements, it is getting more and more rigorous to the performance requirements of the modified asphalt. With good stability and liquidity, solvent cold patch asphalt mixture will be suitable for construction operation at low temperature climate in winter or in the season with rain or snow. In this article, organic solvent and surfactant will be mixed into the matrix asphalt to prepare the cold patch asphalt and the cold patch asphalt concrete. And the concrete had been paved on the roadways in the area of Shenyang and Dalian expressways.Stearic acid and cinnamic acid as raw material for the synthesis of amidation reaction and imidazoline cyclization. The surfactants were the objective synthesis production to be the additives for the cold patch asphalt. In this paper, the usage amount of cold patch asphalt had been discussed based on the mixture of density, porosity, saturation, intensity of Marshall and flow value was determined,finally the optimum proportion was determined.In this paper, four kinds of cold patch asphalt additives will be compounded to the mixture based on the optimum proportion to contrast the "xin ma" additive of the United States. These five kinds of cold patch asphalt mixture will be tested by the the standard Marshall experiment, Marshall immersion test, the modified Marshall test and freeze-thaw splitting test, rutting test, low-temperature the experiment work, etc.Results show that the four kinds of additives in the matrix asphalt has good compatibility, a small amount of modified additives can significantly improve the performance of asphalt and asphalt mixture. Cold rehydration and asphalt aggregate ratio was4.9%, of cold patch asphalt mixture Marshall strength will reach the maximum value of9.26kN. To compound with imidazoline as cold patch asphalt additives preparation of cold patch asphalt mixture by Marshall stability can reach8.23kN, and the rut dynamic stability of271.084mm.
