Tunnel construction monitoring measurement is an important content of the New Austrian Tunneling Method in tunnel construction, it plays an important role in providing the measured data to ensure construction safety, optimize design and analysis guide the construction. However, it due to various reasons that the existing construction monitoring measurement equipment is difficult to meet the needs of the tunnel construction. The paper began with displacement measurement which is the most important thing, analysed the importance of the displacement monitoring in tunnel construction monitoring measurement, and according to the modern measurement system theory, conducted a study on tunnel displacement and warning system of gas real-time tracking and monitoring. Based on the above, and cost considerations, a tunnel displacement measurement program which is based on ultrasonic was designded with ultrasonic measurementtechnology, SCM and communication technologies. Then, hardware circuit and software design of system was completed finally, tunnel displacement of high-precision, automatic, real-time and distance measurements was realized.The existing system of ultraconic ranging was compared and analyzed in the paper, to meet the high precision of the tunnel displacement measurement, that get ranging results with the pulse measurement and the phase measurement. The design selected40Khz ultrasonic to measurement frequency, the main control chip of the sensor named STC SCM, Coupled with the external circuit control, ultrasonic transmitter module circuit and the receiver module circuit, that constitute the displacement measuring system. Add the temperature measurement circuit for environmental temperature impact on the measurement system, add the gas measuring circuit for preventing gas hazards in the tunnel construction. Each module driver was realized with C language in software design. The collected data of tunnel displacement and gas monitoring would be transmitted to the PC monitorina client through self-built network. Finally, in order to make sure of the high-precision and stability, the system hardware and software were debugged and optimized, measurement results is accuracy of lmm within50cm, and reached the requirement.
