Gear system plays an indispensable role in the modern industry process, it is widely used in many fields such as electric power, energy, transport, national defense and aviation. As the key transmission component in mechanical systems, gear system must meet the need of low noise, light weight, high reliability as well as long life span. This paper regards gear system as the object from the engineering application perspective, and resonance reliability, transmission error reliability are analyzed based on Finite Element Method (FEM), Response Surface Method (RSM) and Monte-Carlo Method. The main content of this paper is divided into two parts which are shown as follows:The first part describes the resonance reliability analysis of gear system. Parametric solid model of gear system is established based on ANSYS Parametric Design Language (APDL) and resonance reliability and reliability sensitivity are analyzed with ANSYS; Multi-axis gear transmission system is processed into multi-degree of freedom system and the resonance reliability of the system is analyzed. The second part describes the transmission error reliability analysis of gear system. Parametric solid model of meshing gear system is established. Transmission error curve of gear system is obtained by Meshing Simulation; Response Surface Method (RSM) and Monte-Carlo Method are applied to acquire the transmission error reliability and reliability sensitivity.
