Metamorphic Ways And Process Of Metamorphic Mechanism

Metamorphic mechanism, as a novel mechanism, according to different needs, metamorphic mechanism can change its configurable form to adapt variable mission and complete the function. If these functions are completed by conventional mechanism, the structure will be very complex. So there is amplitude application foreground by using metamorphic mechanism. The advance of the conception not only bring vital force and enrich the conception to traditional mechanism but also enrich design method.This article mainly aims at the research of the metamorphic ways and metamorphic process.Firstly, based on the definition of metamorphic mechanism, the concept of metamorphic joint, the metamorphic purpose and the characteristics of metamorphic mechanism are presented in this paper.Secondly, we make a research on the metamorphic method and metamorphic pattern, according to the method of changing the degree-of-freedom of metamorphic mechanism, which can be summed up as controlling the number of joint and activities bars. Otherwise, we raised4categories of metamorphic method and7categories of metamorphic pattern. Making a specific analysis above lays firm foundation for the theoretical study of metamorphic mechanism.Thirdly, according to metamorphic joint and the features of metamorphic method, we take the variation pivot point lever mechanism for example. This paper studies its structure feature, operating principle, calculation of degree-of-freedom, configuration analysis, analysis of configuration changing, and so on, in order to play the metamorphic process.Fourthly, by using the software Pro/E, it makes particular design on the structure and function of the variation pivot point lever mechanism, and sets up the3D model of the variation pivot point lever mechanism. The virtual prototype in ADAMS can make the simulation analysis on dynamics and kinematics of the variation pivot point lever mechanism. The case provides the important reference for further analyses of the metamorphic mechanism and has some practical value of application.
