Enterprises havebeen compelled to seek new technology to contenting requires of customers andreducing the cost of product and the effects to environment and humans. The study of this paper isbased on such a launch background.The main content of the study is Lightweight study of the automotive body.Firstly, the work and study of predecessors has been summarized particularly;advanced theories and experimental methods from foreign have been learned; thesignificance of lightweight study of the automotive body has been recommended.Secondly, realize ways of Lightweight technology of the automotive body has beendiscussed from materials, design and workmanship. Finally, by means of finiteelement method, Lightweight studied of the automotive body has been studied. Andaccording to strengthï¼›stiffnessï¼›modal and collision simulation experiment data, thefeasibility of lightweight scheme had been judged.The final purpose of the paper is to seek reliable Lightweight scheme of theautomotive body according to CAE.
