Compared with the traditional seismic technology, seismic isolation and energy dissipation technologies are a new type of structural damping. The isolated structure is to set the isolation layer between the floor of the building superstructure or between the superstructure and foundation, so as to extend the building natural period of vibration, which makes seismic action passed to structure over the isolation layer greatly reduced. Isolated structure can be divided into base isolation and story isolation based on isolated device arranged different positions. Energy dissipation control refers to set the non-load-bearing components of structure to the energy dissipation components (such as the damper device), by the deformation which energy dissipation components generate, to consume the energy which earthquake action inputs to structure, to reduce the structural response under wind and earthquake effects. Because of the unique technology advantages, the construction is simple, does not cost, good value in the old structure of the reinforcement layer increases as well as offshore construction or other important building, and have become an increasing concern of the engineering researchers and designers. This research work focuses on the story isolation plus the energy dissipation of this hybrid method for the isolation damping effect of in the single-tower frame structure with podium, its economic feasibility of a simple analysis.This paper firstly described the mechanical properties of isolation bearings and viscous dampers, introduced the principle of story isolation technology and energy dissipation technology, respectively established the structural analysis model and the dynamic equilibrium equation, and derived the balance equations method. Then take a10-layer single-tower structure with podium for example, finite element analysis software SAP2000established seismic structure, story isolation structure and story isolation plus energy dissipation structure of the three models. The time history analysis is carried out in frequently occurred earthquake and seldomly occurred earthquake, obtained the floor of the three model structure relative acceleration, shear force and inter-layer floor displacement response and the outcome of the comparative analysis, resulting in the mutative rules of seismic response and damping effect of story isolation structure and mixed-damping structure. Finally, did simple economic feasibility analysis of isolation and dissipation structure.The results show that:under the earthquake, the story isolation structure gives full play to its large deformation properties to consume most of the seismic energy, making the isolation layer above the seismic response of significantly reduced, with very good isolating effect, but the structures below isolation layer of the floor acceleration increased, just enough to compensate for this lack of reasonable additions to the mixed-damping to viscous damping energy dissipation structure in the structures below isolation layer, with excellent damping effect. For the construction of reinforced concrete frame structure with higher high-intensity earthquake zone, the use of isolation technology can reduce the cost of1%to5%, cost increase in hybrid damping techniques, can be controlled within5%. if they consider earthquake after the structure after the earthquake losses and maintenance costs,economic benefits are considerable.
