During the cast-in-place pile construction, there are many uncertain factors which can easily lead to quality problems. Therefore, the research on testing and quality inspection of pile foundation engineering is particularly important. According to the practical requirement of project site, this paper conducts a deep research by using ultrasonic transmission method to detect the internal concrete piles’defect data processing. The author combines the ultrasonic transmission method with gray system theory, analyzing the quality of foundation piles. It explains the development and history of applying ultrasonic wave into pile foundation detection and various methods about ultrasonic non-destructive detection. This paper introduces the defect reasons of cast-in-place pile, processing method and common defects as well. The basic principle of ultrasonic wave transmission in concrete is also explained in the paper. It discusses the relationship of ultrasonic parameters and concrete quality and highlighting the current commonly used criterion, base apparatus for engineering detection and detection methods. Then, aiming at the defects of existing criterion, taking gray mathematics as the theoretical basis, this paper proposes gray clustering evaluation method, establishing a related evaluation model. According to the engineering test data, it inspects and verifies the gray clustering evaluation method.Starting from the basic principle and detection methods of ultrasonic wave, this paper analyzes the relationship of ultrasonic parameters and concrete quality, and summarizes the characteristics of the acoustic parameters. It also studies the existing pile body quality criterion and methods, summarizing the existing problems, hence to put forward the necessity for comprehensive evaluation. In the meantime, the paper studies the gray system theory, gray clustering evaluation method and their application in various areas. During the research, it found out the effectiveness of using gray clustering evaluation method in detecting the integrity of foundation pile. Based on the relevant acoustic parameters in detecting foundation pile integrity, it suggests the necessity for comprehensive evaluation, by using gray clustering principle of gray system theory, combining the related and independent acoustic parameter:acoustic time, acoustic velocity, amplitude and frequency, hence to put forward a new evaluation method for foundation pile integrity detection. In order to test and verify the feasibility of gray clustering evaluation method, this paper uses model pile to conducts instance analysis and verification, to compare the evaluation results of gray clustering evaluation method to the existing evaluation method and found out that the shortcomings of the existing evaluation method. The gray clustering evaluation method can solve these problems and good results can be achieved.
