The gear pump is a volume type hydraulic oil pump to apply in the most widespread situation. It has many merits such as the size slightly, the weight light, the manufacture easy, the work reliable, the price inexpensive, to the fat liquor insensitive, self-absorption ability strong, maintenance convenience and so on. But the vibration and noise problems, that caused by the trapped oil raises pulsation pressure, are more severe, so the gear pump should not be used in the equipment fixed on smooth requirements. It is important to solve trapped oil phenomenon, reduce the noise and the leakage of hydraulic pump end, improve the working pressure and volume efficiency and prolong service life, by changing the design of unloading groove.This paper aims to improve and design the unloading groove, so that the outer meshing gear pump is running in a higher working pressure and volumetric efficiency, it will make less noise and more stable work.This paper introduces theoretical study of outer involute gear pump and the mechanism of trapped oil, theoretically analyses the variation low of trapped oil volume, provides the theory basis of quantitative analysis and design for the theoretical calculation of the gear pump, and provides the basis for the improving design and the flow field simulation of unloading groove of gear pump.Based solid modeling software Pro/E3D solid modeling of gear pump, design the structure of a single circular unloading groove for the problem of low volumetric efficiency of the gear pump. And use of fluid dynamics software Fluent, to simulate the internal flow field of the gear pump design conditions, get the gear pump trapped oil region distribution flow field, Through the simulation to get data of different unloading groove trapped oil pressure gear pump, to verify the correctness and feasibility of the theoretical analysis and improved design,and also provide the reference for the gear pump internal fluid pressure research.The improvement measure is great significance to reduce the maintenance of the hydraulic pump and maintenance costs, improve product quality and system operation accuracy, and prolong service life.
