With the completion of High-Speed Railway and its being put into operation,the transport capacity has been improved significantly and the tense situation of the railway transport capacity has been eased gradually. And at the same time,passenger transport products of railway are perfected further to meet the multi-level and multi-faceted demands of passengers better. In the railway transportation corridor, in order to improve the utilization of the railway transport capacity as well as the market competitiveness of rail transport, there is a problem about rational division of labor between High-Speed Railway and the Existing Railway. It is of great significance to make a research on distribution rate of passenger flow between High-Speed Railway and the Existing Railway for the reasonable use of the railway capacity and optimization of the rail resources allocation as well as facilitating passengers’travel, and so on.Firstly, on the basis of analysis on the impact factors of distribution rate of passenger flow between High-Speed Railway and the Existing Railway, the paper makes a research on the characteristics of the passengers’travel choice from travel purpose and income level of the passengers.And then, combined with the actual passenger survey data, the passengers are divided into three types, including high, medium and low.Meanwhile, in order to calculate the distribution rate accurately, in accordance with the existing train level in China, the paper discusses train service properties of each grade within the corridor to classify the existing train grade, which can transform the calculation of distribution rate of passenger flow between High-Speed Railway and the Existing Railway into the calculation of distribution rate of passenger flow among the different train levels.Furthermore, from the perspective of the passenger’s travel wishes, the paper builds a passenger-sharing model focusing on the different grade passenger and the various types of train.And combined with the passenger flow structure within the corridor, passenger-sharing rate of different train levels can be got. Moreover, from the point of view of the supply of rail transport, the passenger-sharing rate correction model, influenced by the operation plan, is built to obtain the passenger sharing rate which is affected by the supply of each grade train. In addition, under the background of the high-speed rail development, the paper also makes an analysis of varying factors of distribution rate of passenger flow in the future with the corridor, and come up with the staged calculation method for it.Finally, according to the model, the paper takes Wuhan-Guangzhou corridor as the example to calculate the share rate results, closer to the actual situation, which has verified the rationality and practicality of the model.For the staged calculation of distribution rate of passenger flow, the paper comes to the sharing rate trends for each grade train, that is, the sharing of high-speed rail will increase gradually, the sharing rate EMU will change little, while the sharing of the fast train will reduce gradually. The result will provide reference for making train plan of Wuhan-Guangzhou corridor.
