Nowdays more and more deep-water bridges are built with the devolpment oflarge span bridges to cross water areas, and the deepest underwater foundation ofdeep-water bridges constructed had reached168m. As the main bridge loadingstructure,it is bearing the load transfer from the superstructure,at the same time as thewater obstacles, it is bearing the impact load transfer from the the flood, sediment, driftice and drifters.it is important that researching the influence of dynamic and staticcharacteristics for bridge piers on the stability and safety, considering fluid-solid effect.Access to a large number of domestic and foreign about fluid-solid couplingcalculation principle and and related analysis methods, based on the effect andproperties of piers under the action of static and dynamic in water for the followingaspects:1)It is from the fluid-solid coupling vibration theory (the additional dynamicwater pressure theory) that the influence of lateral bending vibration equations onfluid-solid coupling is qualitatively analyzed, study on the influence of variousparameters of piers on considering fluid-solid coupling, these parameters includeslenderness ratios, the ratios of water depth to the height of pier, cross-section shapeetc.2)The flood impacting bridge pier, based on the maximum displacement at the piertop and the maximum stress at the pier bottom for reference, the relationship between themaximum impact magnification and the ratio of the water depth to the pier height andvelocity and floods impacting piers is analyzed. The flow around bridge pier, based onthe maximum displacement at the pier top and the maximum stress at the pier bottomfor reference, The amplification factor (the ratio of the maximum response of bridgepier between the considering two-way and one-way fluid-solid coupling effect) and thechange of amplification factor with flow velocity.3)Chinese norms, the United States Code about dynamic water pressure isdifferent, code for design of highway bridge and culvert about parameters of dynamicwater pressure formula is maximum, China Railway code about parameters of dynamicwater pressure formula is maximum, followed by the United States Code, China Harbour Code about parameters of dynamic water pressure formula is the smallest.Thedynamic water pressure considering fluid-solid coupling effect is between the UnitedStates Code and Harbour engineering.
