Study On The Interaction Relationship Between The Development Of New Urban Areas And The Ancient City Space In Kaifeng

With the rapid pace of urbanization, urban spatial structure is changingconstantly. In order to seek the urban development, it needs to expand its living spaceand explore the urban new area. As for the ancient city, it needs to face two problem:the protection of the ancient city and the development of the city’s new district. If therelationship between the ancient city protection and the new district development canbe dealt with well, it could not only adjust the structure and the layout of the city, butalso promote the interaction and the coordination between the new area and the oldspace. This paper does focus on how to realize the interaction the development of newurban areas and the ancient city space. First, after analyzing and studying domesticand foreign related cases, it summarizes the successful experience from the aspect ofthe relationship between the new city and the old district, so that it provides realisticbasis for this paper. Meanwhile it seeks the motivity factors of the new districtdevelopment. Taking the ancient city of Kaifeng as an example, based on the historicstage of the city development, it studies the evolution of the city space of Kaifengfrom the ancient to the current and discovers the law behind the evolution of theKaifeng, so that it can provides the guidance for the city development. Next itanalyzes challenges and opportunities of the development of the ancient city ofKaifeng in the new situation at present. Next, through studying the process of the citydevelopment, it extracts the interactive elements between the new area and the oldzone and analyzes these features. At last, it put forward the strategy and thesuggestion from the five aspects to achieve interaction relationship between thedevelopment of new urban areas and the ancient city space in Kaifeng.(1)the joint andthe integration of the new and the old urban space and form;(2)the transformation andthe integration of the new and the old urban function;(3)the consruction of greentraffic mode between the new and the old;(4)the overall ecological coordination of thethe new and old city inside and outside; The inheritance and the development of theold city culture in the new city.
